In light of MBURG's tire fiasco this weekend it's time to start a to do list for our beloved vehicles please add what you think is necessary.

1. Check tread on all tires INCLUDING SPARE.....
2. Check emergency road side kit.
3. AAA membership is current.
4. Extra fluid reserves- oil, tranny, steering and windshield.

Checking tire inflation on all five tires is also a good idea.

My sunroof on Max seems to be pretty wateretight. I washed Max on Saturday and no water got in. No, it's on to the rear window regulators.

almost done with the interior... I just need to glue in the front rocker carpets and remove the center console to do the transmission hump carpets on the console

1. Drag subwoofer and amp out of the hall closet and install in W124.

2. Replace worn tires on same car.

3. Pinstripe (DONE...old pinstriping had worn down to nothing in several areas).

4. Get A-service performed on ML... $$$$$

5. Detail wife's CLK (translation: remove makeup pencils and assorted "woman" crap than has managed to find a home underneath the front seats and lower console areas)!

If I might add something to #1.) Be careful about running your bare hand over the surface of the tread. If the tread is "light" you may pierce your hand with a few "wayward" steel wires from the steel belts, poking up and through the tread's surface...best thing is to wear a pair of good work gloves when you do this...it's MUCH BETTER to snag cloth than skin...I should know!

AND, no MB owner should have the words "...should have...," "...could have...," and/or "...would have..." in their vocabulary...

Also, have a least one bulb, and fuse, of each type in the glove box or trunk...being pulled over for a missing brake lamp on one side or a missing/burnt plate marker lamp can make the evening either really long, really expensive or both. I've had the long version, was told it could have been expensive...

My list is rather daunting, and it'll be competing with the house for attention this spring. IOW it'll largely remain in it's current condition through the first part of summer at least.

-Pull front fenders and fix rust in lower, bottom front fender corners.
-Decide what to do with the lower front fascia/chin (Fix or replace? rusted through on both sides)
-Fix rust spot on passenger wheel well arch

Rust isn't bad, well except for the lower front fascia, but I want to take care of it before it gets out of control.

-Figure out where overhead leak is coming from (maybe windshield seal but I'm guessing it's the roof rack gaskets)
-Check height adjustment on SLS-functions and doesn't leak but seems an inch or so low
-Maybe dig into the non-working A/C (I know it doesn't just need a recharge )
-Either do a brake job or get one done (all depends on how little time I have), rear just started to squeak and I haven't had them apart since I bought it
-Wash and Wax
-Vacuum and scrub the interior

The last three are more likely to get done and in that order.
