Careful--Autotrader Ripped Me Off!!
They told me they were having internal problems posting photos. After three calls and three weeks, they could not get it done. When I demanded a refund, they referred me to their refund policy which states that they will not issue a refund for any reason. Even when they charge for a service they can't deliver!
Anyone else have an unlawful experience with them? Thanks for allowing this fuming rant. K |

If you used a CC, dispute it.
May not help, but it will annoy them !!!!!

Autotrader supports Bait and Switch sellers
There has been a firm in North Jersey that has been advertising the same 2 Benzes for months except the cars DO NOT exist! When you call they say, "Sure dude! C'mon over for a Test Drive!" and whe you arrive they say "Damn, Louie just sold both of 'em last night, how about this Bondo Queen right here, Yep! only 90K miles on her (with a speedo that does not match the rest of the cluster instruments in age or wear)...
I emailed Autotrader about this, sent copies of the Consumer Affairs report charging same offense but they keep taking their ads... Dispute with your CC and they will back you, but AT will never allow you to list or purchase theu them again, but who needs 'em? Quote:

I know that here in Indiana the Attorney General can usually get action with a phone call. Fact is, no matter what their "policy" states, they can't charge for services they haven't delivered. When you buy a used car from me, and I state that you're buying it "as is, no warranty", you can't ask for a refund but I sure as heck still need to give you the car. Theft of Services is somewhat different, but no much. Stick it to them.
