MTI 05-09-2008 09:52 PM

US pork production is down, while beef is up.

Excuse me, get your reality glasses on please. This is AIRLINE FOOD! That's an oxymoron if there ever was one. :)

Botnst 05-09-2008 10:07 PM

I'm sure those meals cost like $30 and suck.

I prefer to get cocked at the bar before boarding the plane, seems to make it better. More so when a snot nosed kid is screaming for dear life behind you.

How much do you normally drink in the bar before your flight?

Hatterasguy 05-09-2008 10:56 PM

As much as possible!

Before the God awful flight to CA I drank 3 big glasses of Sam Adam's and a dark and stormy, or two. I was feeling pretty good and curled up with the good old Hans Von Luck's book. The buzz wore off somewhere over the mid west and the flight sucked from there on out.

The few times I've had to fly during the past 20 years or so...I don't recall "Airline Food" (or whatever you want to address it as...) being the deciding factor in whether I would fly on a particular carrier or not...

IF I was fortunate to get a bag of nuts or some water-down (overly-seltzered) soda or drink...I can think of a lot worse that I had at some Boy Scout camp many years prior to those flights...

My concern relates to whether the plane was, is and stays, air-worthy while I'm part of it's history...

After I depart the tarmac, if I'm hungry or thirsty, I'll get a cab/rental and get as far away from the airport as possible...

I don't have the stomach for the prices...let alone the quality (or lack thereof) of the food itself...

This sucks..........nowhere in the Vedas is it expressly stated that Beef eating is banned, it was only forbidden for economic and environmental reasons due to Cow being scarce and being a useful beast of burden and the fact that it provides milk as nourishment. Why is BA doing a knee jerk reaction when in fact in some states of India, Cows are not only slaughtered for meat, they also produce by products for export. Hypocrisy of pseudo Hindus and BA has no bounds. :(

ForcedInduction 05-12-2008 04:58 AM

I actually prefer lamb.
