Florida fires in Palm Bay

Hear are some pictures I took on Monday
I had the 220D loaded up and the 300SD in the middle of the drive way just in case the fire got closer.

The whole neighborhood got together to help put out the fires, there were about 30 of us with shovels and garden hoses.

The fire department would show up ever so often to help in till they ran out of water in there trucks. There was no way they could of gotten to every fire in the area, to many fires.

The police started to tell us to leave the area, then they realized there was no way they could get 30 red necks to leave the area and let there housed burn down.

We finely got the fires out around 9:00 Monday night.
We lost 4 houses 3 blocks from me, I got lucky no damage to my house, or the MBs.

It was amazing how everybody helped out.

They are not saying much right now.

I'm a Lieutenant for Palm Bay Fire. Until this we had never lost a house to a brush fire. This combination of dry conditions, wind, and an arsonist made for fires moving like I have never seen before.
