2003/2004 S55 Amg
 

How are they?


My dad and I looked at 3 S55s today to possibly replace the SL600. He wants something bigger, and not so low to the ground.


Hes says hes getting old, and needs something better on the hips. Hes getting tired of the pain getting in and out of the SL.


What you guys think? Any experiences? Good/Bad?

For a W220, the newer the better.

Yep. The car hauls butt. Motor sounds amazing too.

S65? Have seen some, but you have to look fast...

It looks mean.

The W220 is looking somewhat dated & not a fan of the W221 style, but it's growing on me. I like the W204 however. :D Hmm.... C63....

I am a huge fan of the W211 E Class. Looks just right.

What year S500 falls in the same price range of a 2003/2004 S55?

Probably about an 05 or 06.

Yeah, we can get an 05, or higher mileage 06 for the price of an 03 or 04 S55.

What is your budget?

The 2005 W220 S65 is selling for a fraction of the the list price, is faster and more exclusive - but I would not want to own one out of warranty.
