It worth $1k, since it runs. Any truck that runs seems to be worth about that.

It didn't sell....there's a surprise. He sure went through a lot of transmissions. One thing is for sure, MB transmissions are still better than chevy! If he had made that truck do real work (pulling stuff for instance) it'd have worn out way sooner. My uncle has a '96 cavalier that he has driven gently since new (he drives reeeal slow and gentle) and it has 126,950 on it and runs the same as when he got it....only a new alternator/power steering pump, thats it....any properly made car will last a real long time with good maintenance and gentle driving.....he only drives about 4,500-5,500 miles a year, I change his oil for him about once a year with Mobil 1 Synthetic 5w30 + a Mobil 1 filter. It loses/burns essentially no oil all year doing this. Crazy.

It seems pretty hard to believe and can he prove it? Besides, that vehicle has a odometer that exceeds it's mechanical limits at 100,000. So the seller states this vehicle has exceeded it's odometer's mechanical limits TEN times? Due to the stated mileage, he is asking for thirty times what it is worth smogged and registered?

A tortilla chip similar to the shape of the State of California, or an empty Coke Can....might be a less expensive folly.

I dont know about the Silverado's odometer but I had a '90 GM Astrovan ( may all THOSE engineers rot in engineering hell!) and the odometer on it went to 6 digits not counting the tenth's. I put 388000 miles on it (2 engines and three transmissions). The second engine was still going strong when the tranny went poohbah again.

What makes me suspicious is the front drivers seat. A million miles on a cloth seat driven for business use and no rips or holes or wear through? Not likely.

Clearly a ruse; that truck was NOT made by Mercedes!

Just what I was thinking.

Maybe the odometer has the tenths wheel in the wrong place and its actually only 103K.

Wisconsin?

This truck should be competely rusted out by now, just like the million mile Saab.

Based on the condition of the vehicle, I seriously doubt this story. These trucks were rust buckets, and it would be impossible to prevent it unless it was stored in the winter.

I smell odo fraud. With 1 million miles that engine, it should leak from every seal on it.

Maybe he didn't have a crotch that could rot the seat off?
