Hmm the girl at the coffee shop down the street from work is interesting.

We have talked and she seems pretty cool. I think that I will want some more coffee later this afternoon, so I think that I will have to walk down there and see if she wants to do something tonight. The question is what. I hate asking someone out at their place of work, as it seems like almost an intersion, but if you don't ask you don't get right? So, tell me what I should do. Their is a nice pub next door, I was thinking that we could go there after she gets off, or we could go for a walk around by the river. I don't know, but I feel today is my day to do something. She only works on Saturdays and I met her last week.

Just go for it, the walk thing seems like a second date thing, but maybe the pub idea is good, its very close by and could be a nice place to talk for a while, then maybe go for a small stroll if you need a more quite environment....

I dunno, you are getting advice from someone who goes to a tech school, maybe you should wait for someone with better advice...

Women will tell you how they hate it too but that is simply not true. When she says "no", what she really means is "yes". Of course she won't realize it at the time. That is why you have to be persistent and keep it up and finally, she will come to her senses and find it romantic.

Once back in my Law School days long ago, I asked this girl,

"When do you get off?"

and I never forgot what she said:

"Whenever I can, man!"....

I have a Judge friend. We one day at lunch (the lunch discussions somewhat resemble a real life version of OD but without the insults, well, usually) were discussing what constituted rape. (Aklim reminded me of this discussion).

He said, "If she says no and you go ahead and do it....no matter how much she acts like she wants it, no matter if she is completely naked, no matter if she has allowed you to do everything else, and no matter how much you are convinced she really means yes.....if you go ahead and do it to her when she says no?.......that is rape".

Just his opinion, you know, in case it should come up (no pun intended) and you happen to be in his courtroom.

How about the phrase "Coffee, Tea or ME?"?

So NOT true!

They like pursuit, not stalking! And only from someone who they are wildly interested in. If the interest is mild, tenacity is a turn off!

But we're guys! None of us have the foggiest idea how the opposite sex operates...we can only pull codes and diagnose!

That's my story when I get dragged to court and I am sticking by it.

If only we could plug a diagnostic scanner into some port to see what is going on

Isn't that our ultimate goal anyway?
