Fuel Surcharge Added to Traffic Tickets

http://www.allheadlinenews.com/articles/7011311267

When you get a speeding ticket here, you also pay for the gasolene used in the enforcement effort.

I'm thinking there's no end to this. Fuel surcharge. Inflation surcharge. Vehicle surcharge. Etc. Etc.

Ball said it would be abolished if fuel price would go down below $3 a gallon

Why not $1 a gallon then. They are just in the revenue business.

Can we then, in turn, send a fuel surcharge bill to municipalities for having to drive around endless construction, sitting in traffic on poorly maintained and designed roadways ?

I wish we could.

Just the other day, I saw one of those pricks on wheels next to a flatbed. It was raining and she didn't want to mess up her hair or chip her nails to change the flat tire.

Worthless SOBs as far as I am concerned. The only good from them is that they can write up the insurance reports so I can claim insurance.

I've already added a fuel and liquor surcharge to my housecall rates.

The fuel charge is understood, the liquor charge is for coping with the cost of the fuel.

If it takes a Cop three gallons of gas to run you down, he is doing his job wrong!

here is an idea: Why not just charge for a full tank instead of a fine?

I think that's a little excessive. Don't you?

Did they ever repeal that hideously unfair civil fine law? That was really cruel and unusual punishment.

You HAD to say it. That's like... $0.17 cents worth of gas at $4/gallon.

I have fuel surcharges in my line of work from truckers but they are hauling around 50000# of goods. Those clowns are hauling 1 fat ass. I don't think it is worth it.

'Promoted as "SpeedTrap" of the South.

Hatterasguy,

On secondary roads between 3:30 and 4:15 A.M. it's relatively sane.

Last time I drove through GA we were going to FL and stuck to 95. Sucked the entire state seems to be a construction zone, put CT to shame!
