Not a Mercedes related question...

So I am doing some work on my w201 and picked up a '96 Neon to drive to work while the Benz is down. So its not bad considering how amazing the mpg is. It's a 5spd and has some power options. The downside is that I am having some problems with the keyless entry.

The kid told me he cut the horn because it went off occasionally with no human interaction or something like that. Since the horn is cut the keyless doesn't make any noise. Despite this, i tried locking and unlocking the doors with the fob and everything worked great.

I get it home and went to put my cd player in. I accidentally touched a wire and spark! I resume the installation and when I went to turn my cd player on nothing happened. It wouldn't power. I then got fed up and closed the door and went to lock them with the fob but no response.

After some monkeying around, I discovered the only way the fob will lock and unlock the doors is if I put the key in the ignition and turn on it to acc. I checked my fuses and they were all fine.

Can anyone please help?

EDIT: Ok. I went out and found out that my windows are only working after I try them several times. None of my dome lights or vanity lights work. Also, now the keyless is only working intermittently when I put it in the ignition.

So in a nutshell:
1) Keyless will only work occasionally if the key is turned to acc.
2) None of the interior lights work, at all.
3) I have to push the button for the windows several times before they start working. Once they start working they work great but if I turn the car off I have to monkey with them again next time I start it.
4) Radio will not work.

And this all starting happening after I sparked that wire.

I'd disconect everything and just use the key, thats what I did with the Jetta. I had a manual so I tracked down the alarm box and just starting cutting with wire snips.

Than the electronic door locks went nuts so I just started cutting a few more wires and they died.

It was a very cheap fix!

I'd just ignore the interior lights, get a cheap headunit and wire it off power myself, and than ignore everything else.

If the power windows fail just take the regulator out and use a block of wood that allows the window to sit open about 2-3 inch's for air. If that isn't enough just break it.
