I looked at and drove an 85 mr2 today with five speed. It was cheap enough and felt good mechanically. It seems to need some front end work, shocks and tires plus ac work.

I was considering it as an autocross alternative to the mighty benz. I was also speculating it might get pretty good fuel economy too.

What say our toyota experts?
