Looking for some form of sponsor

I am curious about something.

I just got back from my little vacation. But it was a working vacation. I volunteered my efforts and know how to help judge, coordinate, assist, slave work for the Technology Student Association, a somewhat international organization for 6th to 12th grade students that are in tech ed classes that want to compete at the national and now international leve. Germany, Peru, Korea, The UK, and Scotland are affilited now.

The last day all of us Florida TSA Alumni sat down for our last lunch and tried to figure out how to get to nationals in Denver one year from now. The national board commended us on our hard work and effort and invited us to Denver, possibly some comp'd rooms!

we settled on driving since plane tickets are absurd, the rail system here sucks, and dirigibles are sooo last century.

so this is what I ask... If anyone has like a 15 passenger van or short bus in good working order we could rent, borrow, steal. We would totally be grateful since the rental cost for two weeks would exceed $1200 and fuel pushing another $1k everything counts.

we are nothing but a bunch of college kids that want to give back to the great organization that got us on the track to our careers and interests. If it wasn't for that club I wouldnt be a member of this great forum, want to be an engineer, be involved with the Deloreans or actually organized my car shows.

So, who wants to let TheDon borrow a van?

I'm actually serious.

When you get closer and know for sure you're going, I'll kick in $20. Maybe you can get enough to rent the van.

That's a good idea Tom.

Joe, I'd be happy to send a little something via Paypal as well. What's the deadline for having the funds together?

I'll kick in a few bucks too Joe, but we want pics, lots of pics for geeks.

nationals for next year is in exactly one year.

I might do the grill badge thing again and put all the profits towards a van or something

I really want the dirigible

.

Sorry, I don't have a van or a dirigible.

Just an idea that may help.

A non profit I was helping hired a grant writer.

They got us several state and federal grants for our program.

Even grants that paid for hiring a grant writer.

What is a grant writer you ask ?
