They can shoot someone who breaks into their neighbors house. BTW,,, anyone who breaks into my house while I am here is very likely to be carried out.

My brother in law has a hunting place on hundred acres or so up north of Bangor ME. Thieves broke into it recently and according to my sister ripped out most of the plumbing and wiring for the copper!!

Y'all see the pics going around the net of the dude who fried himself trying to steal wire from power pole? "Well done"

You live in PA, if you shoot someone in your house, I think you're likely to spend time in jail. PA, NJ, NY and Mass are places you don't want to shoot an intruder.

You are mistaken about PA. A hostile tresspasser may be shot even outside the house.

Funny you should mention that. Once the boys left the house to lead their own lives, I made it VERY clear, that they were never to enter the house at night without first letting us know. They knew what could happen.

Well, I guess you'd have to define hostile. Didn't a man on the Mainline end up in jail because he shot a neighbor who, in a drunken stupor, wondered into the man's house naked at 2am.

I have no idea what goes on down on the Mainline. And I sure won't make a conclusion based on a one sentence description.

In Thailand and Taiwan, there have been reports of people being killed by artillery shells. I never saw it but I have typed up the reports. They wait till the shelling stops and then go out to gather the shell fragments. Well, if they are not lucky, another salvo gets to them before they get to cover.
