Computer Problems
After a recent computer glitch I ended up havein to reinstall win-xp. I guess my backup wasnt so hot as I now have some things that are not working. My main concern at this moment is my windows media player (9) An audio cd plays fine but when I insert a dvd all I have is sound. No video at all! Does anyone have any thoughts as to what I may have messed up? Thanks in advance

Windows has no DVD decoders built into it. You need to install some sort of DVD decoder to get it to see and read DVD movies....
If it were me though, I would install a totally different media player such as VLC, as it will play pretty much any file... |
Go to the link below and download the K-Lite Codec Pack Full. Install it and watch your DVD. Hope this helps.
