The Boston Red Sox have finally traded the unhappy Manny Ramirez. The slugger will go to the Los Angeles Dodgers in a three-way trade that also involves the Red Sox getting Jason Bay from the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Manny dumped to Dodgers. He's been such a bum for the last couple of weeks, he had to go. Will miss his bat, but not his antics and lazy running/fielding.

Could have used some quality relief pitching in return; without that I'm not sure BoSox are going anywhere this season... Instead, we get Jason Bay from the Pirates. His stats this year (albeit in the NL) are similar to ManRam's, but with more HRs. He's a better fielder, and not a loonie (though, he is from Canada, so he could be a loonie or a twonie!). We also dump useless RHP Craig Hansen and decent prospect Brandon Moss (OF). Oh, and the sox will pay Manny's salary this year. That's a lot to give up to be rid of him... you can bet there was more going on behind the scenes.

But, NFL training camps have opened, so baseball needs to hurry up and be over! ha ha. Go Steelers!
