Car has potential, luckily, I'm out of room and I don't want to part with five grand. I would like to have the turbo set up in my 633 csi though. I cant say I have seen a lot of these though. very interesting car.

Yuck, Grants Pass, I stay away from that place... Nice looking car though...

I think you should stick with your Volvos, Mercedes and that wonderful girlfriend.

This is just not worth the price of admission

i had a late 1983 745 (all the whistles and bells of the 84-87 but with the 3 speed auto), one of the neatest cars i've ever owned ~~~ owe it to yourself to drive one of these, makes the 633 feel like a 4 cylinder if the 7 is running right

What are anyone's thoughts on the '86-'87 L7's? One of my neighbors up the street just put her mother into a nursing home and I notice they pulled the mom's L7 out of the garage and it's been sitting there for a couple of weeks now. I was thinking of inquiring about it but I don't really need a headache even if the price is right. I'm sure it received routine dealer service at the mileage points but she rarely drove it and that isn't always a good thing.

the L7 is just a 735 with a leather package, to much leather in my opinion

the big six with a turbo is a different animal, as the alpinas of the era proved

I heard that the L7 was a problem car. It suffers form electrical issues and the engine is not that great as I Think (but maybe wrong ) that it is the Nikosil block that is a weak point. Again, I could be wrong about the years that engine went in.

Try asking here:

Good Luck!

I now see that it was a 735 with more leather, bells and whistles. I'd imagine electrical gremlins could get interesting. Not a bad looking car though. That said, I really don't need it so I'm not going to look much further for positive info. on one. :D It's just sitting there, calling my name...

I just saw a 745 about an hour ago, those do look neat in person :D

Don't like BMW's. Underpowered ugly little sedans. My next car will be 90's Porsche 911. True sports car! I will always keep my 1989 420SEL. Fast, solid, beautiful!:)
