Where to report check scams???
 

I need to report a check scam, but where do I report a check scam?

Was this done in person, or over the internet?
Was this a bad check (NSF) or was it a forged check? Or was your check/signature forged?
I think you would have to be a little more exact, to be able to determine if this is a local court case, an FTC case, or an FBI case.

online at facebook.com for a book I had listed. I recieved a check for 4x times the price i was charging and the person requested a wire transfer for the money not used. The letter that came with the fake check had bad english and looking at the check it was clearly fake. I havent cashed it for obivous reasons. The person doing what a typical scammer does and sending me emails to pressure me to cash the check.

Your local police department or bank the check was issued from. They both would be very accomodating.
