I love this! Now I can pretend to give a damn as I pull up to Starbucks!

That sounds something like an atomic bomb that is environmentally-friendly . . . .

Wow....it can get 20mpg in the city! AMAZING! Why. Why do we need vehicles that weigh 7000lbs, ruin our roads, and kill the environment.

They act like Americans somehow NEED vehicles like that....and that 20/21 is an amazing fuel economy. My car is 26.5 years old and gets 4 better than that in the city without ten thousand computers and gadgets working for it. I bet with a modern otto-diesel electric hybrid system the W126 could be capable of over 45mpg.

Can your car do everything it can? Just so we can compare apples to apples?

That Hybrid Escalade may be cool, but it cannot make me a sandwich...

I will replace my current car with a new one when it can make me sandwich.

I don't even think it is cool. Basically a Chevy Tahoe with a few added panels and a "guilt free" engine system. Wouldn't own one unless it was given to me.

I would think that depending on how you drive. If you insist on racing from light to light, probably not. If you take it slow and easy around town, I can see that as being achievable.

I view this as a last ditch effort by GM to keep the brand alive. SUV's are like muscle cars in the 70's, no one wants them.
