is there anything notable (besides looks) about pontons (w120, w121)?

there's a '59 here for sale, and while i have always liked their looks, hard to find out much about the technology, driveability thereof. something tells me they must be snail-like? handling? braking? figured they were first postwar model, so fintails (second generation?) were probably when things started to click? anyway - figured if anyone knew, it would be this forum's members.

They are not fast, handle fairly well for a '50s model car, stop ok when the drums are set up properly. if not rusty, they are a fun bargain of a classic car that you will not see everyday. easy on the gas or diesel too........

for daily driving, a Fintail may be more fun, as some have AC....

Pontons rule.............

I always really liked then that rounded body shape personified(sp) the 50's.

I always did too, although most women start to sag when they are in their fifties. Oh, wait. You were talking about CARS, weren't you? Sorry. My bad . . .
