very nice. Look at that long chainstay...is it an older bike or do they make touring rigs like that still? Also, what's up with all those headset/stem spacers? Is that a touring thing too?

Those spacers are there so I can dial in the stem length and height. Once that's done I'll chop off the top.

Yeah, long chainstays are the only way to go on a touring bike, and no Ted, not converting to SS. I have another bike build but that'll probably be in the summer.

Cool. I know what the spacers are for...just wasn't sure if you set it up that way on purpose. I'm an avid biker, just not of the touring variety, so was curious.

That's a very nice looking bike, how much did this one set you back? Is the Brooks saddle standard?

Nah Brooks saddle was an add on. Carradice bags, Brooks saddle, Surly rack, Crank Bros. Candy pedals, SKS fenders, about $1.4k total.
