stupid vacuum issues(carpet cleaning vacuum)

my moms vacuum a, eureka model# 8803 (bagless), is not sucking at all. I cleaned out all of the passage ways, removed the internal passage ways and checked for blockages and also cleaned out the filter system. so nothing is blocking the intake of stuff.

we bought it 3 months ago and it worked decently and recently just stopped doing what it should. All it does now is make noises like it should be vacuuming but if I put my hand to the telescoping intake thing it has no suction at all(even after cleaning the stupid thing)

I've searched for an exploded view of the thing so I can get to the impeller and see if thats damaged and try and get a replacement but nothing comes up.

I didn't think buying a vacuum would be as hard as buying a car.. its just a vacuum it should just work

I replaced two Eurekas before settling for the excellent bagless Panasonic which is not only trouble free but does a far better job than Eureka or Kirby that I previously owned.

I have worked on a lot of vacuums but not one of the new bagless type. Usually they are pretty straight forward. Are you saying it doesn't work on the floor or with the hose? Or just the hose doesn't work? Hoses do get clogged up a lot. I didn't see too many broken impellers. Did anyone vacuum up big gravel or pennies? I assume you checked out the HEPA filter. I had an old Bravo Boss that worked pretty well.

Hoses also deteriorate...

...I had a vacuum cleaner where the hose developed small cracks in several places. Each crack was too small to detect, especially given the convoluted design of the hoses, but enough cracks and the suction would be greatly affected.

hoses shouldn't have cracks, the thing is 3 months old.

I cleaned all of the hoses out. I should just go at it with a screw driver and take it apart

The bagless ones have multiple little foam filters that clog constantly...check them all, clean them all, it may spring back to life. I have been replacing vacuums about once a year at my house, they are disposable.

I found like three filters and cleaned all of them out. I even ran it without the HEPA filter and it still didn't suck

does it sound like its trying to suck? maybe the motor is running but the vacuum impeller is broke. Get a screwdriver and check it out, I don't think a Eureka could outsmart a whiz bang like you.

Maybe the flux capacitor is leaking?

I'm going to take that sucker apart today after school and hopefully be able to put it back together again. If not, I'll just run it over with a truck and buy a differnt vacuum...

is there a forum for vacuums? like Vacuumshop.com or something.. heh

I think there is an appliance repair forum that covers sucking machines.

Bought an Electrolux in 1979. Ran fine last night when I was cleaning off the pool table. New hose every 10-15 years. New beater bar brush about the same. bags all the time of course, but they are DIRT cheap.
