Then she noticed the shotgun in one of the officer's hands, aimed at her neighbor's 45-pound Labrador retriever.

"I said, 'Please don't shoot that dog. He won't hurt you,'" Mrs. Kulers said.

The officer looked at her, then back at the dog.

A shot rang out -- then, another.

"I said, 'Why did you have to do that? You didn't have to do that,'" Mrs. Kulers said. "He said, 'It showed its teeth.' He said, 'We have a right to do this.'"

Whats wrong with COPS these days??? Shoot some criminals and mafias and terrorists instead.

Either shoot the dog or have to pay for Cialis or Viagra so he can get a hard on for the wife. It's a street cop. What did you expect?

I saw an injured deer and the cop tried to shoot it at POINT BLANK RANGE. I offered to hold the flashlight for him but he declined. Think he hit it? No. It wasn't that dark. He took a 2nd shot to do it with me holding the light.

I own a gun and can protect myself. Don't need them, don't want them.

Most cops are idiots with mental problems. Just the wrong person to have a gun...

Alcohol abuse with cops is about four times what it is in other jobs. It's not the job, it's the type of person that applies and they hire for it... aggressive and not too smart. Bad combination mixed with firearms!

I think the neighbor called on some issue and this guy came along and shot the dog so he can get it up tonight for wife or feel like he is King Stud for killing a wild vicious animal. Look at the pic. The dog was showing teeth. Probably eats babies for snacks.

Dog made a playful lunge and the woman did a stupid thing. Call the pigs.

When Karma deals with this idiot, he'd be tied down and a pot of meat gravy drips on his frank and beans and the dogs would eat at it all day. Bite off a chunk and it grows back and it keeps going on forever.

Oh yes. Let me be the first to say. This is a case of a bad apple in a rotten barrel.

I believe that about as much as the snipe hunt we are going on tonight. I'll bet I can get my quota of snipe in this big bag.

Lets not be too harsh on the cops. After all, it is only a few bad apples.

Besides, without them, who will type up the reports and keep the Dunkin Donut store in business?

The people I know from college who are becoming cops, well lets just say this sums it up.

Pretty much the ones that can't cut it in the military, or a competitive field.
