EMT Conduit Question
Is EMT conduit galvanized? Have a project in mind welding up something to hold my air tools and thought I should check first.

Being not in the industry, I haven't heard it called EMT. I figured that you were talking about the standard thinwall galvanized steel conduit and did a Google search. First link:

If you weld or oxy cut galvanized metal: one, have good ventilation available, and two, drink a glass of milk afterwards. The mild has the ability to leach the zinc out of your system. Or so I was always told. I welded and cut a lot of galvanize overseas and was always given milk afterwards. Maybe it was just an old wives tale, but, the milk was free.
