But that's what we have now. Limbaugh and Hannity have gone rogue and no one can stand up to offer their defense. And don't tell me they debate with callers . . . please . . . . kill switch at the ready.
I had replied to this, but it was censored.

Oh well, people go with the horse that looks like it'll be the winner.

So, you have no rebuttal for my rap in post #103?

Wha???

Oh well, PM or e-mail your response if you want.

Oh wait, you were using a bit of metaphor, satire, etc.

Uno mass: nowhere have I advocated censorship. Half the fun would be sticking it to Limabaugh, Hannity etc. regarding their exact, uncensored remarks.

John McCain has received $3,830,175 from the banking industry since 1989, with more than $2.5 million coming in 2008 alone.

From:

http://www.campaignmoney.org/mccainmortgage

Your list totals just over $4 million, so it's not that far off -- sorta mirrors the liklihood of who will win.

It was lost in the crash earlier, I was joking.
Basically I said your analogy is flawed because I could find my own part of town to refute the guy and I could print pamphlets, etc. detailing how wrong he was. And I could sue him.

As for no one standing up to Limbaugh, you said many people, including the one you quoted, already did that.

Amazing how you single out Limbaugh and Hannity and not bother to mention Olberman, The female commentator on MSNBC whose name escapes me at the moment. For all intent and purposes there is no difference between any of them. The only real difference is you agree with Olberman and the woman. So who gets to decide who has to rebutted, you. How about when the political pendulum swings the other way, do want the next republican president deciding which shows get to be rebutted. How about pacifica radio do we get to rebut them, how all of NPR, how about The daily show does somebody get to rebut that? It's a dangerous slippery slope and I'd rather you just turn off the channel if you don't like someone as opposed to being some all knowing arbiter of truth.

I agree. The Patriot act was instituted by GBW. Many repubs thought it was a good idea, but what happens when another party gets that power? The same with the "Fairness Doctrine". Right now libs want to silence the right on radio, and they might have the power. But what when the Right has that power to silence the Left? What then.

Who gets to decide who's speech is free and whose is is "impaired"?
Either all speech is free or none is. As I have said before, You must insure the freedom of speech that you hate, or there is no freedom of speech for anyone.
