How good is a 1987 190d
I will be looking at a 1987 190d 2.5 with auto tranny. He says the odometer has 110k (wonder if that's right). Price is $1300. Any thoughts?
Are they reliable like a 240? Are parts hard to get? |

No offense to anybody that owns one, but I wouldn't buy it. To me, that is a can of wiggly worms.

They are fine cars, they drive and ride nicely and have the same quality as other benzes of that generation......which is to say they are not as simple and durable as the older two forty d but they are still pretty nice cars and they ride and handle better by a noticalbe amount than the earlier cars.
They can be expensive to put right though if they are neglected, so I would recommend having it checked by a mercedes diesel familiar shop. I wouldn't mind having a nice one, but I would really like one with a 240 motor but of course they didn't come that way.
