How about a Euro 280ce for a project or parts car?

This Euro 280ce showed up about 150 miles away from me, it has all the coupe parts I want for my car. At least I assume it's euro, since it has roll-up windows, a euro climate control, euro coupe bumpers, and euro headlights. It appears to have rust on the back bumper, though. It would be pretty much perfect to have, since it has all the coupe features that I want on my coupe, plus spare parts such as glass for my coupe. I would want to tinker with it and get it running, or if it's too much trouble I could part it out.

Should I even bother if (since) it's a pile of rust? Maybe it's not worth it just for the parts? Coupe parts, especially euro ones, are valuable though.

Problem is, it's 150 miles away, not running, and I don't have a truck. However, there is a u-haul depot directly across the street from me. What would be a good (cheapest) way to tow it back? Renting a uhaul pickup and trailer? (They're not the best maintained...) I do have a parking space for the car.

I wonder what that means in craigslist-speak? Blown engine?

I've wrestled with a bent rods OM603 but I won't go near a sick M110.

Looks like a great parts car. If the left corner of the rear bumper is rusty beyond restorability, that's a lot of Euro effect and value you'll never see.

That's a good price if you have your mind set of transplanting manual AC.

Make sure you can keep a non-runner in your parking space while you're breaking it. Have a plan to dispose of the carcass. Hopefully someone will take it without additional expense to you.
