Sad junkyard find

This weekend at pick-n-pull I found two interesting cars. One was an 84' Euro 500sec AMG. Too bad it was in such bad shape. It showed about 180,ooo miles in it. The other one was a 1980 W126 V8 Euro. Im not sure what it was but it had velour seats, crank windows, a sunroof, manual A/C, green paint, and manual seat adjustments. It had the bracket for a trunk triangle. Too bad it had US spec headlights. I guess San Antonio had a lot of ECE cars because it seems at least half of the W126 in the junkyard are Euro spec.

Check the exhaust manifolds. If they are the tri-y's they are worth pulling.

I thought about that but that really looks like a chore to swap manifolds in my car.

I wonder if it has anything to do with being near military bases and personnel rotating back to the US after a stint in Germany with their MBZ? There are a lot of Euros in the Ft Worth area too.

how else do I fund my projects.. pulling parts and flipping them on ebay or the forums.. very lucrative business

for a 1980 or 1984.. no tri y's unless someone else swapped them in later. they didnt show up untill 85/86 MY
