Moving violation: One driver, one ticket.

Parking space violation: Two spaces, two registered vehicles, two tickets.

Bad News

In Georgia, Vessel registrations are under the Jurisdiction of the DNR
[Dinky ,Little office in Social Circle "Light Years" away from Atlanta (and DNR
Headquarters). We think one of the Governor's contributor's Nephews needed a
job near home] So if you commit a major violation with your boat(SAY,
dragging for Shrimp out of season or with an illegal net setup) the DNR agent
forces you back to the access point for the boat and confiscates your Trailer
AND the Vehicle that pulls it.Even though all three (Boat,Trailer,Vehicle) have
separate registrations and licensing.

Is that the new setup where they don't have to chalk your tires anymore for the 2 or 3 hour limit zones? I heard that they have license plate reading technology now so they can find your license number in the same zone when they come back, and they'll have a computer record of when they saw you there before. Not sure if it has to be the same exact spot.

Back when I did construction in SF, if we were in one of those areas (most of the city) we'd have to go out every 2 or 3 hours and look for chalked tires, and move it if we found chalk.

This new method would be a pain in the backside.

I've always found it easier to move the chalk mark.

A couple of guys got ticketed anyway after doing that. Not sure what the meter maid rationale was on that one. Maybe they saw chalk residue and remembered chalking it.

Well, its a college town here...almost standard practice to let the meter expire and pay the ticket...probably makes them more $$$ than expensive tickets do. Also normal to park on the yellow curb, they only care on gamedays...
