Hello! New here, thought i'd say HI!

HI folks, Just found this place and beens ive got me a Benz i'll be keeping for a while I'll prolly need some tech and info for it and looks like a nice place to get it! I've had a few diesel M-B's and decided to get another cause i like em alot! I'm killing myself for selling my 1 owner, near mint condition 85 300D here a couple of years ago so i found this ole 81' 300SD, not super nice but not terrible, pretty decent car and proves pretty nice so far! Got some things to fix in it but thats 1/2 the fun! So the journey begins! Already cleaned the banjo bolt and tweaked the ALDA someand runs much better and i'll be running the valves and such here real soon along with other maintnance. I a big diesel nut and have been brought up on them. Live in Kansas. BMW tech by trade. Big into diesel performance, the truck in my avatar is my money funnel! My problem is i cant leave stuff alone! So the Benz is suspect to mods, With unknown miles, enough blow-by, so If i toast it Oh well, I'll rebuild it, No fear! For now i'll take it easy, Truck is apart for paint and body till spring so i need to keep it on the road! I have a crappy back and this old sucker rides pretty nice so theres another good reason own it! Sorry for beein long winded, look forward to talkin to you folks!

Cheers, Chris

Skippy~ As for perception: Drive what you like and can afford. Those who don't like it can supply vacuum to one of your components. LOL

If you need parts, I have some!

Thanks!
As for the Superturbo....who knows I'm the guy that likes to find limits edge and tease it! I have all kinds of bad ideas brewing in my head for the old OM617, mods many may have done? Dunno I have lots of forum digging to do! I'd love to make it a nice sleeper DD!

Welcome, sounds like you'll find a good fit over in the diesel section where they have a performance subgroup.

Yay, another diesel truck guy! There are a few of us over here. It's kind of fun trying to apply truck diesel performance tricks to the MB...

Welcome, Chris!

I look forward to your projects. I'm a diesel truck and performance diesel fan with (currently) neither so I have to live vicariously through your guys' toys.
