I went 500 miles for a stereo install!!!

I took it easy and kept the speed on I 5 under 105 mph this time!!!

Smoking hot deal on a top-of-the line Kenwood CD player and 6 CD Kenwood trunk stacker, bluetooth and ipod ready!! (Whats an ipod by the way?)

.

Final stereo install done, finished about an hour and a half ago...

Woo Hoo!!!

Here is where I spent the afternoon and evening... (Harbor Motor Sports in Westminster, in Orange County)

For tomorrow: suspension issues to address:

$320 out the door made it worth it, to go here, but the $2600 suspension rebuild estimate was wildly overcharged at my favorite place by the SF airport so I will have them take care of things here.

The price for all tie rod ends, alignment and steering shock and a few other things, is only $800, and the parts have been ordered from the same Mercedes Benz dealer here by Disneyland where I bought the car a dozen years ago (The House of Imports in Buena Park)

Saved enough money, on this and the suspension work, here, I think, to pay for the gas, a couple of hotel nights, and to take Kathleen from Chino Hills to dinner tomorrow night...

Southern Californians are SO into cars. Best place I can think of to buy one and take it for work is So Cal. I just love coming down here.

Depends what day Kathleen is free for dinner. If tomorrow night I will head out Thursday morning, stopping at the junkyards in Sun Valley on the way.

Otherwise Friday.

I can take pic's of the new set up tomorrow. It's a sweet one, considering that in car entertainment is a REALLY fast moving target, gets better every day.

It's incredibly easy to get around on Southern California highways. They run very fast, and very safe. A joy to drive on them.

Not sure what you mean, but I can check tomorrow. They valeted the car at my hotel here, and the owners manuals for the CD changer and in-dash unit are with the car.

I was told it is Kenwood's best unit right now. The Kenwood factory place is just down the street from this place so they can get anything Kenwood has, instantly

Jim, what all did they replace?

Did they replace the amp, or just the head unit and add the changer?

Kenwood is there Premier Line,

The KDC-X991 is the best one out there right know and that Unit is killer. I have the 590 which is the entry level Excelon unit and you will be amazed at what you can do with it. If they havent adjusted the crossovers and and Frequency boosters i can guide yyou through it. this little step that they might have skipped will make a world of differnce in the sound quality.

Jim, we all get to live vicariously through you.

Glad *someone* is having plenty of fun... wine (country tours) women (you seem to do well for yourself), and now song (a good stereo makes a W126 even better!)
