Indy, A Fake Mercedes Staff Car?

"1937 Mercedes Staff Car" Up for Auction

It was built on a Jaguar Mark IX chassis, equipped with a Jaguar Mark V body, and is powered by a Jaguar XKE 250 horsepower dual-overhead cam engine mated to a Jaguar four-speed manual transmission.

BTW, if you really want a "time killer" . . . check out the Live Auction listing on eBay . . . everything from posters, scripts, costumes . . . a production "Gumby" and Thunderbirds 4 model to, hold on to your teenage memories fellas . . .

Jacqueline Bisset Oversized photo from The Deep and Luke's Lightsaber a very pricey Graflex flash handle!

Hmmm, that's interesting. German styling coupled with British engineering . . . . If I had to choose, I'd have gone the other way around.

The car still has dents on the rear passenger side from filming, but is otherwise in great condition-all fluids have been changed, and the brakes have been bled.
what the heck is that suppose to mean? I've never thought of bleeding the breaks, other then at the end of a break job... I didn't know that was proper procedure for selling a car. seems odd to me. and the picture looks like a picture of a miniature.
