98 Dodge Caravan Electrical issues... HELP!
 

Hi Everyone,
I have a friend who is driving from Seattle to NYC in a Dodge van and is stranded in Illinois right now.

Now, I don't know the whole story but he says the electronics are acting funny and the trans will just suddenly downshift into first or second while cruising at highway speeds.

From what I found on the net, it seems that these vans are very prone to electrical gremlins but I see no info on how the problems were resolved. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
