Roadtrip...Harrisburg PA to Denver CO
In a 91 toyota truck sorry everyone, I sold all my MBs. But this truck has the venerable 22RE engine, the gasoline powered cousin of the OM616 when it comes to longevity, reliability and ability to take abuse.
1752 miles (includes a trip to Boulder) Best - 25.1 mpg Worst - 22.6 mpg Avg - 23.9833333333 Approx 800 lbs of cargo. I kept the speed between 60 and 70 mph. Fuel injected 2.5L, 5 speed, 350k on the chassis, rebuilt engine at some point, tranny swapped in from the diesel version of this vehicle, homemade plywood topper! 35psi in the tires. Cheapest gas was in Boonsville IN @ $1.45 Most expensive was Salina KS @ 1.69 Am I Hypermiling???

Just looked up my truck, it was EPA 22city/26 highway, so no, I'm not 'Hypermiling'
