I just picked up an Antifoni floor lamp, which is known for transformer failure, and other issues, with no transformer or course. I am just going to use the stand, and mate it with a Tertial, which most likely will be missing the clamp. It should fit the base with a little modification. This little hack looks like it will cost me a total of around $10. I am hoping to pick up the Tertial in the next day or two...

I just got back from IKEA.. I saw a chair and ottoman I want for my room but my friends trunk was too small..

this is pretty cool since I just finished assembling a shoe rack. I bet I could take another shoe rack and attach it to the one I just built for double the shoe capacity!

You can do that with the shoe rack.

I saw some Ikea furniture at the thrift stores today, and I figured out some neat stuff I could do with them, but I am going to hold off first. Next time I am at Ikea, I am going to maybe pick up a few things, and try and copy some of those hacks...

I like the light fixture thing

but those concrete counter tops have got me thinking.

My parents just got a new house and have a nice back yard with a big wood deck. I think if I could talk them into it I could make a nice outdoor kitchen with a built in grill using the concrete counter top idea.

I already have my own plans sketched out for making the supports out of standard cinder block faced with some nice brick but the counter top of polished concrete would be sweet.

I'm an IKEA nutcase. My kitchen, bathroom and wardrobe/closet are IKEA Ratonell. The kitchen and bath have a Wilson Art Gibraltar solid surface countertop.

When I was installing my kitchen cabinet doors, I could not for the life of me, figure out the hinges...I knew it had to be easy but the damned instructions were too simple. I figured that there must be something like the Mercedes Shop forum somewhere but with a bunch of IKEA nerds to help me out.

FWIW, here's my (IKEA) kitchen:

Ikea furniture is very stylish, but very cheaply made...the first time i stepped on my Japanese-style Ikea bed...my foot went right through the paper-thin particle board.

When I remodel my kitchen I'm going to go with the IKEA "free standing" kitchen. I'll have some cabinets but the countertops won't be fixed.

Lol, you guys are hilarious...I have since avoided stepping on the edge of the bed as I walk by. I have a gaping hole as a reminder. :[

Oh, and to clarify, I have no ass to speak of.
