Got your Christmas shopping done?

I did mine early this year.....today (Sat before christmas!)

I had to be very creative this year since the Lovely Mrs.W vetoed buying any more jewlery this year (my traditional standby present for her). But I came up with some creative solutions. I got into the Christmas spirit so much that I bought presents for grandkids and children too! I must have been in the spirit because I just saw things and said....gotta buy that!

I bought the mrs. some fluffy stuff, the grandkids amethist crystal rocks, and the adult children all got hand carved objects. Some of them quite elegant from Indonesia.

There is a room in our house that the Mrs uses to stack presents in. Its full now and I can no longer get into our tub. She complained the other day that she has too much. (Happens every year!)

I even bought my bunny a bunny basket to keep warm in as tonight its supposed to get down to 3 degrees and be windy.

I don't wanna get up and find a bunnycicle!

I finished up last night. Now for the wrapping! Last year I discovered the band booster ladies at the wrapping table in the mall. I got six presents wrapped for like, $12! Awesome! Go Spartans or Knights or was it Imps...?

Almost all done ... I don't have many people to buy for. Books for mom, dad, older sis and a CD for younger sis, plus whatever I can come up with for my brother in law (he's the only one I have left to shop for). It's a little sad, how few people I have to shop for, but at least it's kind on my wallet. I'll have to help my dad stock up on gifts for my mom ... he needs consultation ... we already did the book store run and got my mom about 10 books.

And of course I have to get some gifts for my cat, and something for my sister and her husband's cats and dog.

I used to do night-time shopping runs two days before Christmas, it was awesome. Now my job has me ****ed every night and somewhat during the day so I get everything done early. I hate shopping during the day, especially when I have to worry about busting through traffic to be at work by 4 or 5.

Shopping at night on Dec. 23 = sweet.

Haven't started yet, but did start to get into the mood yesterday as I put up the tree and listened to our collection of Christmas music. The grandkids are really the only ones that "need" Christmas, and we have cut back quite a bit with them. It really is all about keeping the economy going, and just like everything else, most people are cutting back. This really isn't a bad thing to rein in the crazy consumption and get back to our basic needs,,,, the country is a changing.

I don't get the whole gift thing. We're way beyond getting that one pair of shoes for the year for Christmas.

PP just went out and got what he wanted.

I just got back from the mall. I am all done thank God. I took the family got inside the C Class and up to the mall we went. The malls where packed. My goodness you though they where giving stuff away for free. I was there from 2-6. It took me forever because I ran into about 20 people I knew and you get talking and by the time you get out eat dinner and I got home at about 8:00. Long day and im tired.
