Wrong nationality...they look Asian under the toppers...and those are clips...I've never seen paintballs belly-fed from a clip...a few of them have some AK-47 style clips and one of them clowns has a scope on his piece...probably a .25 calibre or whatever the metric equivalent is...

It theoretically would offer a more stable shooting platform, more speed in a chase and or able to cover larger areas in crowd control.

That does look like some sort of small SMG type weapon....although one guy does have a good old fashioned AK.
