Lost ...the series

Is anyone else addicted to this TV show? I've only started watching it since the Sci-Fi channel started running a maraton every Monday evening. Can't get enough of it. What a great series.

One Q?

Why hasn't the fat guy with the long hair and beard never lost any weight? I'm thinking he's hitting the buffet 2-3 times a day on the island.....

Series or movies that are too silly to believe, never have attracted me to watch. The fat guy is but one example.......a fat example......

I've wondered the samething about the fat guy.

As far as being silly, I don't agree. It's very well written and the acting is very good.

I was only talking about how a guy that fat, could really be that fat, if they were indeed stranded on an island. His caloric intake by foraging on the island could not possibly sustain his fat. And the sinister back and forth to the states from the island?? That is unbelievable, it doesn't happen in real life. It doesn't make sense to me to believe it could take place.

I like it and the new season is supposed to start next month.

If you can't suspend disbelief for a little while, you're destined to watch only documentaries and DIY programs.:)

I generally have to suspend disbelief when I watch the DIY programs, especially the home improvement ones.

I liked it at first, but it got old quickly for me. I don't watch much TV, so I'm pretty critical of anything I DO watch.

The mental images I get from the printed word are almost always better than the ones someone else has come up with for me.

That's true.:D They rarely show the size of the actual crew doing the work.

Norm has already made that project way before you see him doing it on the New Yankee Workshop. I'd like to see him doing it for the first time, using the limited array of tools I have in my garage. Now, THAT would be entertaining!

I didn't know a fat guy would have that much appeal....LOL!:)

My theory for his continued fatness is that the island seems to provide for each character's weakness. Charlie even found a plane load of his drug of choice. I remember Hugo having a private food stash in the jungle that he setup using Dharma food drop items.;)
