Bullet proof 400SE

http://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/cto/989358035.html

ignorance is very funny sometimes!!

quote from ad:

Model:92 400se
Mileage: 141K
Title: clean

Premium luxury Mercedes S class sedan. This vehicle in its day was top of the line; all the celebrities had one due to the fact that it came with double pain bullet proof glass. The vehicle is loaded with all options and cost over 85k when new.

It is a clean car-fax with no accident history. The vehicle has no rust, dings nor scratches on the exterior; the interior is super clean…no scratches, cracks on dash, seats, etc…just a little wear on leather on the arm rest…the paint is 9 out of 10 in my rating. Previous owner had kept this car in the garage the whole time when they owned it.

The mechanical condition is in excellent condition: no overheating…the engine is very quiet (when I drove @110 Mph or when I rest at the stop lights) and transmission shifts great, just a minor oil leak (found out when I went for an oil change about two months ago…was told that most old cars…not just Mercedes have a little leak to them) however it is nothing to worry about…So you don’t have to waste more than $100 of synth. oil change when u buy this…
Updated Info: Recently, I parked the car at the same place for a couple of days then moved away...I did this for more than 3 times...trying to observe any oil spot on the ground...but didn't see any...perhaps, because of the cold weather...I don't... Recent work done on the vehicle: change new serpentine fan belt, new coolant hoses...all cost me about $500. Car no longer have leaks...

All sensors light works, no check engine light, etc. All electrical parts like: power doors, power windows, power steering wheels, seats work…except the sun roof…(it can go up but cannot be pulled back automatically…could be the fuse on the back…which cost $1 to $2 to replace). The cool feature: vacuum door work.

The rear emblem says s600 but truly it’s a 400se with 8cyl. Not 12 cyl.

The wheels are in great shape and come with new tires (a lot of tred left on them)... The alignment is very straight…suspension is good…

The original owner installed an amplifier on the back and an Alpine navigation system, and took out the original cd changer. He/she must have invested a lot because I also saw almost $8,000 of service works, tune-up, maintenance @ Mercedes Dealership back in 1998 (I put all these paper receipts in inside the dash compartment). My uncle transferred this vehicle to me last month along with all the receipts of the previous owners. I would love to keep this car just that currently I have 5 other Mercedes and no more places to park; garage only hold 2…

A very reliable transportation… and extremely safe

My life was saved thanks to God, luck, etc. and an old school Mercedes when I first started college ten years ago. Since then, I started to collect Mercedes…And even swore that I would name my first daughter after the car that safe my life. I have owned all kinds of Mercedes and normally the older Mercedes (E-class, S-class, C-class, etc.) have scratch, crack, etc on the Seats, doors, dash etc…But not with this vehicle. The interior is super clean and looks just like the brand new Mercedes S550 right out of production line.

Overall I give the vehicle 8.5 out of 10.

Noob, he has no idea that its not bullet proof glass. The double pain glass is to cut down on noise.

double pain...Is that when you get kicked in the groin, and both gonads are hit?

double pain and argon filled. I have heard from more than a few people that they are bullet proof. I know better. Unless it was one of those Carat Duchatelet specials!
