Speak'n of taxes...
Here comes that stream of "Important Tax Document Enclosed" envelopes in the mail.
Must be that time of year again. Just ducky.... Good Luck and Grande Happy Returns to all !! |
We just got ours too.
Last year, Turbo-Tax said that I was required to pay quarterly with an ES form, due to a deficiency in withholding (mostly because of 1099 earnings). Instead, I had my employer send in an extra $100/month, which will hopefully keep the IRS happy. I don't know if it is correct to the letter of the law, but at least it's correct in the spirit. I should get something back this year, but I want it to be a very small figure. |
Actualy, right now my biggest gripe is my local Yuppieland (Fairfax County VA) property tax assesments which have remained at nearly the same level as they were 4 years ago when the market peaked.
Now some well-meaning friends are telling me that local tax authorities won't count the recent rash of bank-owned/forclosure sales for re-assesment! Happy Motoring, Mark |
We’ve been quarterly for as long as I can remember.
We’ve had to have an accountant handle it all as well. (Because I can’t keep up with it all. Nor do I trust myself to go solo with it all. And a few other things...) What I get in the mail goes in a file, then goes to him. Then I give him a couple of checks and sign a bunch of stuff. “…get something back…” What’s that?? |
