Innocuous poor speeling.
Less dangerous, maybe just annoying. And no the two main ones are not just annoyances. One is a key logger, one is part of a botnet setup although I don't believe it has been activated. OH I HATE VISTA HATE HATE HATE

Key words there. In other words it is NOT a virus, just another "proof of concept".
I'm glad you hate Vista. 7 is just the name given to its next service pack so M$ can get away from Visa's name. |

I prefer the Mac at home because it is simple (to use) and reliable. I haven't used a software manual on a Mac in 10 or 15 years. Even the switch to OS-X was a snap. Each of the iterations since then have been almost without exception, flawless. B |

From what I read the Mac Bot is fully functional, just hasn't been used YET. Funny too is that several of the security tech groups have actually broken into the Botnets and even figured out how to send software to cleanse the machines. BUT did not because it would be as illegal as the original installation of the malware. I personally like XP, it is stable and easy to use, I do also use Linux, both server and desktops. WHY MICROSOFT DID YOU COMPLETELY REDESIGN THE INTERFACE FOR VISTA aka ME II ? Yes they are trying to change for the sake of change, not change for the better. Macs are good, but NOT perfect or the easy to use that people say. Unless you have used them a lot. Linux and it's variants have several problems, not the least IS the number of variants, it still isn't ready for prime time (getting there) by that I mean the average user cannot load and configure it, finally there are not enough techies (that can relate to humans) to support it. I am a Nerd, but I can work with users, most of the Linux techs I have worked with ARE NERDS. Very good, very talented, but put them in with a average computer user and they can't communicate.

Oh look, a MAC that doesn't work. I thought that was "impossible"
(have to rub it in) A flashing folder icon like that there's a 95%+ probability that the hard drive died, especially in a laptop, because they get smacked around so much....hard drives are only so durable. Even with mac's "drop sensor" and all that junk.I've seen my share of MAC's over the years that break, and they're a total pain to get working again. They're a lot like a modern car, designed so that you have to go to Apple (cough, cough...the dealer) to get it fixed..... My fleet of WinXP and Windows Server 2003 systems has yet to EVER have one just "up and die".....those two OS's are rock stable. My main server has been up for almost a year now without a single restart....in fact, the only few times its been rebooted in the past 4.5 years were to replace a hard drive in the array, and a few power outages that lasted longer than the UPS. I'm a Linux fan too, but its more of a pain to work with and integrate.
