gotta lose the smell
ok previous owner left a plastic bottle or something i expect brake fluid bottle on the exhaust manifold(dr. side) and of course he ran the car and it melted to exhaust.i have removed the plastic that i could however it has stained the manifold and continues to stink.bad enough that i am afraid that it will catch fire even tho there is no material left.is there anyway other than running motor to finish getting this off?

I doubt that it will catch fire. I once caught a plastic bag on a muffler and it finally burned off. Anything you use to 'clean' it off will have to burn off, too.

Go for a good 30 minute highway drive, I bet that will burn it all off. Do a couple hard accelerations!

I thought this might be a thread about Ukrainian aka Russian Cameras. Whatever they use to tan their leather cases is some smelly stuff.
