Whats a 1972 Mercedes 600 SWB worth?

I need an idea of the value.... Good-Excellent condition, Velour Interior, 30k miles. All records back to day 1. The hydraulic system works perfect, as does the suspension.

I have not seen any good solid values for them. They seem to range from 60k to 135k.

Question You surely aren't thinking of buying one, are you, Justin???!!

Barry Taylor is restoring this one with tombstone euro headlights in his shop for a customer.

I saw it in there last month....

You answered your own condition. The value depends on condition, and how much work needs to be done ....... it can cost a fortune to restore one.

The one you mentioned sounds like more towards the top end.

You would just about need to own an oil refinery to afford to buy and run one of these cars. In fact, many owners DID.

Do SWB's hold less value? They seem to be used as executive personal drivers than the LWB or Pullmans.

I am guessing from those I have talked to, they tend to be worth less than their LWB brethren.

Oh well, got the info I was after.....

I'd prefer a SWB car, you can drive and park it.

If you got a LWB 600 you would have to pay someone to drive you around, the owner can't ride up front!

Yeah, they actually fit into a standard sized garage...

Just.....They're 4 inches wider then a LWB W126 and a good 7 inches longer.
