My adorable puppies

I took my two labradoodle puppies to my parents today to play with their dogs. They are getting too big to ride in my lap, so I put them in the back of the Excelsior.

I'll let the photos do the talking:

5:27 PM today:

and at 5:43...

I guess they don't appreciate my spirited driving in the winding roads of my parents neighborhood. Anyone have a rubber mat for a W124 wagon?

Awww that sucks. If I ever had a wagon (Or G Wagon...) i'd always put rubber or at least a blanket down.

Cute puppies. So those are poodle/lab mixtures? Interesting.

I second the blanket/sheet idea.

The rubber mats are a dealer item. Last time I checked they could still order them.

If not, I think weathertech sells a set of rubber mats for the W124s.

Good looking pups tho....

Did you get the car fixed?

No telling what they'll charge you to ship the US, though.

It still has a mildly annoying, though very slight vibration at high speeds, but yes, its mostly fixed. I was going to paint the bumper anyway, so no loss there.

We'll see if the AMG Aero wheel that got trashed can be fixed, but for now the Excelsior is back to stock.

Tyler, possible tire issues? Balanced properly? If your getting a vibration between 45-60mph that's most likely your issue. Invest in a set of Michelins.

Michelin's are the best thing you could do. The 280CE is so smooth on the highway, even at 90mph.

All 4 wheels from my curb impact have been replaced with my old ones, so it is not a wheel/tire issue. It is barely noticeable from about 55-65, then smooths out.

The wheel bent so badly it whacked my upper control arm. This weekend I'm going to jack up the car and really get a good look at things. Not bad, all in all, but I have some sorting to do.

The one on the right looks as if he has been chewing thru some electrical cords. If I was you, besides cleaning up the back of the truck, check all the cords in house!

Those oxyclean products work pretty well on that. Or just get some hydrogen peroxide.

Every time I look at that picture of the dogs, I laugh out loud; the one on the right reminds me of my dog Kirby. Just kind of a happy-go-lucky guy, not a care in the world. The other one looks like the "serious" one of the two. Quite the pair (not unlike my two). Dogs rule.
