Check out the comet tomorrow before dawn

Comet Lulin's on closest approach to earth. Might be a good sight in binoc's tomorrow before dawn. Check out the story at the nasa link below and click on the sky map for the 24th for it's position tomorrow morning. Right near Saturn as it turns out. I think I might even brave the pre-dawn temperatures myself.

- Peter.

The photos are already out there. But that's not the point.

Well we got up at 04:30. Saw it with binocs and a 4.5 inch orion reflector. not much of a sight. Nowhere near as impressive as the last comet that came by a couple of years back. Forgot it's name now. But nice to have seen it anyway on it's only journey round the sun. Saturn was a more impressive sight.

I haven't attempted to look at it yet. I don't usually get here early enough in the morning and it has been rising too late at night.

Maybe tonight or Thursday night if it is clear I'll give it a shot. I'll try some pics as well if I do spot it.

I was up at the time trying not to die of pain and grabbed my spotmatic with a 400mm telephoto lens since I don't have a set of binocs... I think I was looking in the wrong place
