Not to pick on anyone in particular... ;)

But first, it was the earing...then it became the necklace with the seagull on it and a few feathers...

Then it was the eyeliner (David Bowie-esque) and then...

You name it...pants without cheeks...

At what point does public display reach distasteful or down right rude?

Ever? Never?

The old addage, "You never wear your stage-makeup off stage." doesn't appear to be the standard anymore...you can, and in most cases it seems to be the norm, still run around in your pajamas and no one is suppose to notice.

It's like a newer version of the "Emperor's New Clothes" - only now, when the child notices that the "emperor" isn't wearing anything, the people don't wise up...they kill the child.

And they say we havn't advanced as a society...

Your behavior bothers me.
I dont like religous pontifying at all.
Dose that mean you have to change ?

I would much rather be in a motel full of people with alternative lifestyles, then have to put up with a bunch of people who think they are better than others in the motel.

You should have considered yourself lucky to be at the hotel at the same time as
the alternative lifestyle people.

That would have been a blast.

As long a no one is trying to purposly harm your kids in any way.

Enjoy your time around different minded people, you just might come away from the experience much happier.

For a couple of years we'd take weekend in Feb, go to a big model train convention, and stay at a hotel with an indoor pool. The timing always corresponds with a Witches/Warlock/Druid convention. One year another group at the hotel was some Cheerleader convention. After hanging out with train geeks all day it was pure entertainment!

About the photo-post: if there are belt loops on the trousers, they need a belt. The shirt is not a button down, and what are those things on the feet? Tennis shoes?

For the original poster I'd suggest attending the NYC Halloween parade.

I hang out with people who think wearing wool in the middle of summer is the height of fun (google civil war reenactor). Leather and spandex are no big deal.
