I'll tell you who to write

Aerofabco@juno.com (N4ZD)

Art is his name. He's a retired EE from Ma Bell. He's been a ham since the 60's, when I talked to him last he still had his radar endorsement. Give him a while to write back.

LoL I'm not one unfortunately, but I'd like to be.

I'm thinking of investing in a Uniden bearcat UHF/VHF Scanner with triple trunking scan.
Local police are on a trunked 800Mhz service up here(sasktel fleetnet) I love listening to the police radios.

I work with police at my job, I Install emergency equipment on the cars and trucks. I build police cars Charger mostly. I ALWAYS have the radio on when I'm working on them..always interesting.

Callsigns are regional.

http://wireless.fcc.gov/services/index.htm?job=call_signs_1&id=amateur

Well... untill they allowed 'vanity' callsigns. Best FCC money can buy.

Most agencys are going to the APCO-25 system. Sso, don't waste much money on a trunking receiver.

Woops. I was trying to figure out what you were meaning. I finally understand. You must have looked up the callsign.

There was a typo. How about K8QKJ?

It was my dads and I took it when they opened up vanity calls.

For a minute there, I thought maybe you had moved to North Carolina, LOL.

First licensed as WN8KBL, 1963 (In Flint).

I prefer not to post my current callsign on here. Too many crazy lib'ruls, .... ..
