These are Almost the Same Car...

THis is surely old news, but I only recently noticed how closely the Aston Martin DBS, and the Ferrari F430, resemble each other:

The outlined side profile shape looks a little similar...but after that no, they look very different.

You are obviously a Connoisseur.

At a glance, I initially thought it was the same car when I saw the photos mixed together.

I think the new Jaguar coupes look an awful lot like Aston Martins. I assume that is by design, not a coincidence.

I can barely tell those apart either -- at least the Jags and the DB9s or Vantages.

The Japanese and Asian car makers tend to steal from the europeans whereas the American companies either have their head up their asses or use the European market cars and re badge them for us market.

But anyways.. I've seen both of those cars in person(not those exact cars) but the shape is somewhat the same but that is about it.

The shape is the same because of the aerodynamics. Plus correct top, left, front, and an isometric shot would be a lot better than two odd angled shots that highlight the roof lines

If you notice on the Ferrari the front fenders tend to flare/bulge out then swoop in. The Jag has a flare and it blends nicely back with the door

How's this for amazing coincidence:

On the way to Maryland this morning, on the 495 Beltway just past the I-270 split headed towards Bethesda, was a flatbed with:

1. Silver-Gray DBS
2. Red Ferrari E430
3. Yellow Ford GT

I stand corrected; those cars do not look alike. Photos lie.

What a treat to see them all together though....
