ricer seats in my Benz

I am thinking of getting a different set of seats for my coupe. something a little more modern and comfortable. i am thinking of a set like this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=220381115672

or maybe some out of a vdub all manual.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=350182903614

or stick with benz seats, controls are seperate though:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=200320609329

has anyone done a seat swap with modern seats?

I can tell you my Honda seats and my brother's Acura seats are/were very comfortable, and held me stable well when autocrossing. I'm not a fan of leather because it's slidy-er than cloth, but both were good seats.

thanx. I was thinking of trying to find a used Acura close by and sit in it on a car lot. I like the CL500 MB seats the best but they are pricey and the set is missing the center section of the back and the controls are on the door. The acura seats look really nice. the vw seats are all manual which gives them the simplicity nod but the shape is not as attractive to me. I want leather because cloth for me in the past has been less durable with stains or rips.

Forced Induction has "ricer" seats in one of his, he can tell you more.
