If it means anything, my drivers rear fender has a huge rounded blemish-much like the 300E AMG pictured...

My 300CE has a dent there too!
I'll take a pic and post it.
I'm not kidding. The paint never blistered or cracked, but it's the worst flaw on the car.

I looked at an 87 300D that had a similar dent, but it was on the other side.

At least (optimistically of course) the bumper is still ok.
