Good point.

I have a mac, and it was giving me cr@p earlier when I was trying to update office....

Perhaps the devious, mischievous young gates was at it, thwarting my attempts to update my installation of office on my mac.

That's funny, while reading this, the little bubble popped up at the bottom of the screen saying: "Updates are available for your computer. Click here to download these updates."

Well, you bought the crappy OS from him in the first place, why not let him try and fix it?

Vista

Anyone have problems with SP1 for Vista? I keep holding off until I get some data moved off the Vista machine (currently a warehouse for years of data on my laptops)

I have known some nerds to harbor 'me vs the world' vendettas. In the instance of the nerd, it is more serious than your mainstream teenage angst.

That was his mugshot for speeding in New Mexico -- stopped twice by the same trooper.

Call me weird, but I've always admired Bill Gates.

I suppose....but he's 50+ years old now, and hasn't done anything but employ a lot of people with good jobs, and provide the world a great operating system. (That being WinXP and Windows Server 2003)

Weird.

Still, you've got a long way to go to catch up with the Ultimate Bill Gates FanBoy.

I'm sure you're aware that people buying new computers will be able to opt out of Windows 7 and step back to Win XP?

I don't like Vista because it asks too many frickin' questions for every little task. XP does what you tell it to do, and does it well. Nonetheless, I'd be a Mac user now if it were not for one program: Borland/Corel Paradox. First started using it in the mid-80's and it was, and still is, the best database application. If there is ever a Mac version, I'll say goodbye to Windows because Macs are clearly superior.
