The storm happend 4 years ago and these losers still can't get their lives together? I mean come on, get a freaken job so you can pay some rent. 4 years should be enough time to do at least that, but than again they probably never worked a day in their lives.

I love the excuse about not being able to build a house because they can't get a permit, thats a good excuse I havn't heard that one before, I mean its only been 4 years.

Everyones insurance rants are getting jacked up here because of these storms, my uncles just went up big time on his apartment building because its within a mile of the water.

I love how the insurance companies spread the cost around.

How do you know that is not a legit excuse? I know a lady in my town who tried for 4 years to get site plan approval for a simple office building. The project was designed by an excellent architectural/engineering team and she was not trying to cut any corners. The Town's staff just couldn't bring themselves to approve her site plan. They kept coming up with new comments for her architect and engineers to address. I don't know who is at fault for the lack of a permit for the people in the article, but I don't see any reason to assume that it is their fault.

I love the insurance business. Having said that, I've made a small fortune investing in insurance companies we own at Berkshire-Hathaway. I'm in it for all I can get....and that's a good thing for me.

I thought this was all supposed to disappear once Hussein (The Messiah) was your leader.

If you don't like insurance companies, just go without......really, we don't care.

They don't get into why they can't get a permit - but there has been quite a few people who can't. Reason - they are trying to put mobile homes and such back on property that has been re-zoned. Mobile homes are a bad idea on the Gulf Coast. Local government is finally wising up a bit and looking at some of the root causes of the disasters. Just like the casinos who used to be forced to be in the water - they can build on land now. It was stupid law but they changed it.
